The Final Post

The final post

My 6 month checkup was on April 8 (also my 36th birthday.)

It was interesting. I was there 10 total minutes. The doctor took a sample, and told me even if the results are abnormal that I am healed. He said not to worry that my 3 month checkup was abnormal. Though this is hard to do, I am going to listen to him. Therefore, I guess I am healed. Yippee!

I will continue being checked every 3 month for 3 years, then every 6 months for 2 more years. Then once a year, every year,  for the rest of my awesome life.

I guess this is the end of my story... but really, this is just the beginning.

Thank you for reading.

The Winds are Changing

The Winds are Changing

With the start of the New Year comes new beginnings. For me, reflection and realization that change is a necessary thing. I heard a great quote, "Don't wait for the winds to change, adjust your sail."

I am a new woman. I have new fitness goals, new professional goals, and new personal goals.

I want to exercise because I CAN, not because I feel guilty if I don't. I want to run, bike or ski without a tracking device or a heart rate monitor. I want to look up and enjoy the world not stare at my numbers and watts and elevation.

I want to give to others and help people realize their true potential. Most importantly I want my clients to be able to participate in the activities they love without physical limitation, emphasizing injury prevention.

I want to break my mold; stick up for myself. Stay soft without allowing myself to be pushed around or manipulated.

May 2016 be full of good health!
